The Development Bureau and the Construction Industry Council co-organise the "Construction Safety Week 2026" between 24 August and 28 August 2026 with an aim to bolstering the promotion of the target of "Zero Accident". "Build Smart. Care with Heart. Own the Task." is the main theme this year. The aim is to enhance construction safety culture through promoting adoption of Smart Site Safety System, caring culture and safety roles and responsibilities.
Construction Safety Week Conference is one of the featured events. The target audience for the morning session includes management from government departments, employers, consultants, contractors and subcontractors, while the afternoon session is targeted at frontline practitioners such as safety officers and site supervisors. The aim is to uplift site safety culture. The organisers wish to unite the efforts of all stakeholders in the construction industry to jointly promote and work towards the target of "Zero Accident".
